Get ready to ingest some good times with Show Dem Camp’s new EP Palm Wine Music (Vol. 1). As the name suggests, it’s all about letting go and shaking off the daily grind. The first video to be released, Up To You featuring Funbi, sees the Nigerian duo Tec (Wale Davies) and Ghost (Olumide Ayeni) knocking back the sweet nectar with friends on a tempting beach.

The rest of the seven-track, Spax-produced, EP simply oozes with tropical beats, soft percussion and well oiled raps. Featuring vocals from SDC’s extended family including Boj, Ajebutter22, Poe, Tomi Thomas and Odunsi, it moves us from the sultry, slow groove of Compose through to the reflective bars of Popping Again.

SCD originally stepped onto the scene in 2009 and their releases such as the Clone Wars series and The Dreamers Project album soon put their infectious, alternative hip hop sound on all discerning radars. This, their first solo outing in two years, reminds us what we’ve been missing. So keep pouring.
