Red Hook Labs takes Delphine Diallo, Atong Atem and Namsa Leuba to Amsterdam’s Unseen photo festival
Nataal’s group show New African Photography at Brooklyn’s Red Hook Labs earlier this year proved such a hit that now the public benefit corporation has taken three of those exhibiting artists to Unseen. Atong Atem, Namsa Leuba and Delphine Diallo show their latest work at the annual international photography fair and festival in Amsterdam, which was established in 2012 as a platform for new photography. Atem presents two gloriously hyper coloured self-portraits, Leuba selects from her recent body of work shot in South Africa, Kingdom of Mountains and Diallo offers up her collaborative portraits of Ghanaian musician Jojo Abot.
Jimmy Moffat’s Red Hook Labs is dedicated to being “a diverse and dynamic space where the most talented emerging and acclaimed artists work, create, exhibit, teach, mentor, learn and collaborate.” And through this fair, these three Nataal favourites are further exploring new markets.
Unseen is on until 25 September at Amsterdam Westergasfabriek
