Join us for NATAAL’s anniversary show at Jajjah during 1-54 Marrakech

NATAAL celebrates its 10th anniversary with an exhibition at Jajjah during 1-54 Marrakech 2026. Taking over the outside space at Hassan Hajjaj’s gallery and tea house in Sidi Ghanem from 5-7 February, ‘A Decade of Finery’ features portraiture from over 30 artists with whom Nataal has cherished collaborating with over the years.

New works by Lakin Ogunbanwo, Ismail Zaidy and Till Tan will join archive works from Alice Mann, Adama Jalloh, Njaheut, Nadine Ijewere, Julia Noni and more. “We hope that this curation reflects the platform’s long-held belief that collective creativity and aesthetic world-building fosters beauty, hope and belonging,” say co-curators Helen Jennings and Miriam Bouteba.

Better still, the show joins friends and family as part of Jajjah’s current cultural activation ‘Kech United’. On view is Andrew Dosunmu’s solo ‘The African Game’ marking the 20th anniversary of the esteemed imagemaker’s series documenting the cultural pride that surrounds football on the continent. Alongside this, Art Comes First and Marché Noir host ‘The Black SuperMarket’, an installation and sustainable fashion concept reimagining the ‘supermarket’ as a cultural hub. “Kech United is a collaborative platform celebrating shared identity, cultural exchange, and the vibrancy of African creative practices, bringing together friends, partners and contributors into an interconnected programme,” Hajjaj explains.
