Nataal is excited to be involved in a very special, multidisciplinary dance event in London this Friday

Nataal is excited to be involved in a very special event this Friday. A Study in Devotion is a multi-disciplinary collaboration between sculpture artist Dominique White, photographer Adama Jalloh, choreographers Ann Marie Campbell and Ffion Campbell Davies and curator and stylist Sabrina Henry.

The project explores dance and devotional practises in the African diaspora and has been developed by Henry to be debuted in the first print edition of Nataal magazine, due to be published for SS18.

The event will take the form of a dance performance at creative workspace Market Peckham, in south London. The performance will feature five dancers embodying movements of Afro-Brazillian orishas Oya, Yemenja and Oshun. The experience will connect traditional practise with contemporary understanding and create a bridge of transition between the old world and the new world. The 15-minute happening will also feature an electronic soundscape accompanied by live drumming and be filmed and photographed live.

Please join us for this unique evening of creative expression.

A Study in Devotion is at 7pm on Friday 15 September 2017, at Market Peckham,133 Rye Lane, London, SE15

Entry is free and open to the public but space is limited so please RSVP to info@marketpeckham.com
