Still riding high from the success of his second album ‘King’ last December, which saw this award-winning singer songwriter collaborate with Sarkodie, Wizkid, Stonebwoy and Burnaboy, ‘To The Moon’ is equally feature laden. Kingxn, Ice Prince, M.I Abaga and Niyola all join Praiz to turn up the feels. Here the seasoned artist gives Nataal the low-down on this romantic EP.

On your Instagram Live you’ve been promoting all things ‘Quarantine & Chill’. Please tell us how you advocate spending quality time during lockdown?
During the lockdown I spend my time mostly in the studio. I have a setup at home which makes it easy for me to put down ideas as soon as they come to me. Asides from music, I spend time studying and expanding my knowledge on things I know and some I don’t at all. Although they all sound too serious lol, I also make time to sleep!

We predict relationships will be made while listening to this sultry record! What is your top tip for seduction?
The songs are very sensual and will get you in an intimate mood. My tips for seduction are: have good wine, great ambience, good music, intriguing conversation and just let the vibe flow... no forcing.

What can you tell us about each of the songs on the EP?
'To The Moon' (featuring Kingxn) describes the emotions of wanting to always spend time with the special one, protecting and loving them all the way. 'Wings' (featuring MI) describes the bliss and overwhelming feeling that comes with intimacy, it’s heaven. 'Like It' (featuring Ice Prince) is that song that sets the mood for a chill time - good vibe and great sex. 'Feels' describes how my gal makes me feel when we get in the mood. Finally, 'Red Flag' (featuring Niyola) talks about traits you experience when you are in a relationship with a wrong one. I have been in one of those so I know better.

My collaborators each brings a different delivery and approach to the songs – they’re all amazing musicians that have proved what they represent. I’m glad to have them on this project.

Lockdown has been tough on the music business. What are your plans as we come out the other side?
The lockdown has been harsh but also gave me a new perspective. Once the lockdown is over, I intend to go ahead with my concert I had to put on hold because of the pandemic.

‘To The Moon’ by Praiz is out 3 July 2020. Find it here
