Delali Ayivi lenses the latest story in the Stetch Series, an initiative by creative directors Laura Tabet and Lauren Barrett (in partnership with east London yoga studio Stretch) that aims to re-invent the way yoga is typically presented.

Entitled Transcendence, the fast-emerging Togolese-German photographer (and former Nataal art director) has shot the series between London and Lomé with a cast of faces from her community. Together they express the fun, elation and simple pleasures they experience through discovering new ways to flow.

“Being new to yoga, I invited close friends and collaborators to explore their interpretations of movement and the body with me, through styling, set design, sports and dance,” says Ayivi. “Shot across two cities, Transcendence explores ideas of identity, experimentation and self-awareness of both body and creative mind.”

Uplifting, positive and inclusive, this is yoga that raises us up, up, and away.
