“These pictures represent a little escape to me,” says Yasmine Hatimi. “My idea was to bring a little bit of poetry in these difficult times; to try to investigate simple things and make them look extraordinary.” The Casablanca-based photographer’s lyrical story dreamily merges archival images - filled with light and freedom - with those which represent the new now – solitary walks and clockwatching. “I found the old images in my family album - people having lunch in a park, a happier time, as though everything seemed to be easier before, without technology, without the pressure of this century, without Covid.”
